"The film Love.Blood.Kryptonite looks as good if not better than many indie and/or low-budget films released. As a film buff, I've seen my share of films-big budget, small budget, mainstream and independent. LBK does not suffer by comparison. The acting was strong, and the direction was fluid. The shot selections and editing were the most impressive. The use of hand-held and steady cameras, and a brief slow-motion sequence involving a character smoking a cigarette were nice touches. It had the gritty look of an early Martin Scorsese movie, and the witty dialogue of a Quentin Tarantino film. The filmmakers may not be at quite those levels yet, but the movie shows promise and skilled filmmaking.” – Terry Dean, Wednesday Journal

First off, we would like to apologize for the lack of updates on the website. Condne and I have been insanely busy with the film and have somewhat neglected the website. But we're back now and will continue to update the site more often. And due to the massive time gap between updates, we have plenty to tell you.

Possibly the most important update of the day...

THE TRAILER IS UP. WATCH IT HERE.

Sorry for the dramatic caps and bold, I was just excited. But yeah, the official trailer is up and on our videos page. You can watch it by going to our VIDEOS page.

The film is nearing completion. The editing is completely done, and it is now is post-production sound. It is currently being sound mixed downtown by the guys at Avenue Edit and being scored by composer Geoff Shell. Both are doing amazing work.

Condne and I are working to put together the film's final soundtrack (which will be on sale around the film's release). When we have a final track list, we will put it on the site's SOUNDTRACK page, which is still empty.

And our final update: THE FINAL POSTER IS DONE. Check it out below (the actual poster is cropped in a bit). Sorry if the poster doesn't show up... it works on some browsers. We'll fix it as soon as someone who knows what they're doing takes over.

Posters will go on sale soon, along with t-shirts, soundtracks, and just about anything else we can make money off of. So buy stuff.

The film has come a long way since the last update. The second rough cut of the film is done and has gone through the second test screening. Because our feedback was so positive, we took the comments we recieved and posted them on our new REVIEWS page. Check it out HERE or click the link on the above toolbar.

We would also like to encourage you, again, to join the LBK mailing list on our CONTACT US page. If you are interested in the film at all, you should join. Our mailings will keep you updated, and only come once or twice a month. So it won't get annoying..

That's all.

We have officially raised ALL $40,000 dollars that we could have raised. Thank you so much to all the people that invested in the film. It could not have been done without you. Thank you for your support.

If you were someone who was interested in investing in LBK but didn't or someone has tossed the idea of investing around a few times and want to learn more about it, there are still plenty of opportunities. While LBK is financially finished, we are beginning to start funding for our next project (which is being kept under wraps for now). This project will be a lot bigger, so we will need a lot more help. So if you are interested in investing or just simply want to learn more, email me at matt@lovebloodkryptonite.com or John Condne at john@lovebloodkryptonite.com.

Thanks again.

Check out the Love.Blood.Kryptonite. multi-media slideshow and interview by Josh Hawkins from the Wednesday Journal.

The reason for this update is to let you all know the 3rd portion of the behind the scenes tapes is up. JP Erickson came on as the behind-the-scenes guy and did an amazing job. From 3 on is all JP's work. The third tape is of the first 2 days of filming. Check it out.

The teaser trailer, which hopefully will start making it's way around classrooms, is still on the site. CLICK HERE to to the video page.

Also if you want to buy a LBK t-shirt email me and I can set you up. A lot of people have been buying shirts ( a lot more than you'd think). If you don't feel like emailing me, just contact Black Mariah Films dual manager: Billy Adams. He'll get you set up.

NOTE: If you are a teacher are interested in helping out by showing the trailer in your classes, please email me and I can get you a DVD with a more PG version of the teaser. That would be greatly appreciated.
